Judge Rules in Support of 4th Amendment Claim Against NSA

Excerpt: "...there’s a good chance this case against the NSA’s practice of collecting so-called metadata – numbers called, call duration, call times, and more – violates the Constitution’s protection against unreasonable searches and seizures. Judge Leon also found that the plaintiffs (read: all Americans) “will suffer irreparable harm” if the NSA’s bulk phone data collection doesn’t stop."

That's the good news. The bad news is that the Judge put a stay on his order so that the NSA can appeal.

  • Black Box in Your Car: Best Way to Collect Highway Tolls?

Some governors -- including Mark Dayton in Minnesota -- have considered requiring a "black box" for every car so drivers are automatically billed for road tolls. The government would then know exactly where you have driven -- possibly, in real time: http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-roads-black-boxes-20131027,0,6090226.story#axzz2ixoAxU00

  • Secret to PRISM program: Even bigger data seizure

Yes, the government is reading your email, and more:
